LAKEHOUSE

MySQL to a PostgreSQL-centric lakehouse for spatiotemporal analysis

Migrated the data tier from MySQL to a PostgreSQL-centric lakehouse built on PostgreSQL, Parquet, Apache Iceberg, and Trino, enabling spatiotemporal reasoning across the data. Storage dropped 70%, data moves went from 6 hours to 1, and queries run 30–60× faster, typically 4 hours down to 5 minutes.

Designed and implemented a hybrid data tier across Oracle Cloud and AWS using Oracle, MySQL, Neo4j, Elasticsearch, Redis, and Cassandra. Surpassed the target of 50,000 calls per second, where each call generates hundreds of records and passes through 40–60 steps for routing, rating, validation, billing, and fraud management.
