Terms of Service

Effective November 1, 2026

These terms cover ReinDB, the database monitoring service Bandlei, Inc. (“Bandlei”, “we”) runs at app.bandlei.com, and the free health check at app.bandlei.com/check. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you sign up for. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

1. The service

ReinDB connects to PostgreSQL and MySQL databases you register, reads the statistics the database keeps about itself, and shows trends, findings and suggested fixes. Exactly what it reads and stores is described on the security page, which is part of these terms. ReinDB never runs a fix for you: suggestions are scripts for you to review and run yourself, at your own judgment.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) and use ReinDB for business or professional purposes.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the users you invite.
  • Tell us at once at inquiries@bandlei.com if you think your account has been misused.

3. Databases you connect

  • Only connect databases you own or are authorized to monitor, and only with a read-only user as described in the setup guide.
  • You are responsible for your database, its firewall rules, the user and grants you give ReinDB, and any change you make based on ReinDB’s findings.
  • You may remove a database at any time; you can delete its history at the same time.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use ReinDB to probe or reach systems you aren’t authorized to access, overload the service, get around usage limits, resell it without our written permission, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows. We may suspend an account that does any of these.

5. Beta

ReinDB is in an invite-only beta. During the beta it is free, it may change, and it is provided without any uptime commitment. Beta organizations that later subscribe receive the beta discount shown at checkout.

6. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • Free trials, when offered, last 14 days and need no card. When a trial ends, monitoring pauses until you subscribe; nothing is deleted at that point.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by our payment processor, Stripe, at the price shown on the Plan & billing page when you subscribe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • The price depends on the number of databases you monitor. Adding or removing a database changes the next invoice, prorated for the rest of the month.
  • You can cancel at any time under Plan & billing › Manage billing. The service stays available until the end of the month you paid for. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
  • If a payment fails, we email you and keep the service running for a 7-day grace period. After that, monitoring pauses until the payment is fixed; your history is kept.
  • Prices exclude taxes, which are added where required.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the change applies from your next billing period after that notice.

7. Your data

The measurements, settings and account details you give us remain yours. You grant Bandlei the right to store and process them only to run, support and improve ReinDB, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t sell your data. If you cancel or close your account, we keep your organization’s settings and history for 60 days, so you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off. After that we delete them, except where we must keep records (for example invoices) by law.

8. AI features

The Ask box may use an AI model to choose which chart or table answers a question. The model receives only the question and your database names, never measurements, statement text or table data. Answers can be wrong; check them before acting.

9. Our property

ReinDB, its software, design and documentation belong to Bandlei. ReinDB™ is a trademark of Bandlei, Inc. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using ReinDB and close your account at any time by writing to inquiries@bandlei.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or doesn’t pay, and we may end the service as a whole with at least 30 days’ notice, refunding any prepaid period not used.

11. Disclaimer

Except as these terms say otherwise, ReinDB is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that findings are complete or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Bandlei is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if told they were possible. Bandlei’s total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and hold Bandlei harmless from claims arising from databases you connect without authorization or from your breach of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state courts in Clear Creek County, Colorado, or the federal court for the District of Colorado, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Using ReinDB after that date means you accept the new terms.

16. Notices and contact

Send notices to Bandlei by email to inquiries@bandlei.com. We send notices to your account owner’s email address. Email notices take effect when sent.
